Get ’em while you can was the message New Lenox Mayor Tim Baldermann told residents about Triple Play Concert Series tickets.
Over half of the 5,000 total tickets had sold in the first week. New Lenox residents have first crack at hearing Bad Company, Rick Springfield and Foreigner in the Commons.
If there are any left after May 10, the price goes up from $50 to $60. Then, they will be available to both residents and nonresidents.
One of the reasons for the high demand on the tickets is that the village keeps the number of attendees at a safe, manageable amount, he said. Lines for food vendors don’t bump into each other.
“We could sell more (than 5,000), you could probably fit a few more people in there, but it’s comfortable,” Baldermann said.
