John Krepps is replacing William Brownlow as senior vice president and chief financial officer at Silver Cross Hospital.
A resident of Lemont, Krepps, 58, joined Silver Cross in 1995 and has held several positions, including controller, associate vice president of finance and most recent vice president of finance.
Brownlow, 62, of New Lenox, retired Sept. 30 after serving 17 years as senior vice president and CFO.
Both men played a pivotal role in Silver Cross Hospital’s effort to achieve the Top 100 status, a national award, which it won yearly from 2005 to ’11. They were also instrumental in planning and financing the move to the new $360 million hospital in New Lenox, which opened in February 2012.
In his new position, Krepps is responsible for portfolio management and real estate and special strategic projects and will continue to oversee all financial operations.
During his time with Silver Cross, Krepps has developed joint ventures, including the hospital’s relationship with The Rehabilitation Institute of Chicago, the Silver Cross Neuroscience Institute and the University of Chicago Medicine Comprehensive Cancer Center at Silver Cross Hospital.
