New Lenox, Will County police blotter

NEW LENOX

THEFT: Letters were stolen from a restaurant sign Sept. 12 in the 400 block of East Lincoln Highway.

SUSPENDED LICENSE: Alexander Martinez, 28, 705 Red Oak, University Park, was charged with driving on a suspended license, no insurance and no valid registration after a stop Sept. 12 at Maple Road and Oak Street, police said.

TIRE SLASHED: A tire was slashed on a vehicle Sept. 13 in the 2900 block of Joela Drive.

PURLOINED PURSE: A purse was stolen from a vehicle Sept. 13 in the 400 block of Nelson Road.

GOAL POST DAMAGED: A soccer goal post was damaged Sept. 13 in the 2300 block of Nelson Road.

WINDOW DAMAGED: A storefront window was damaged Sept. 13 in the 700 block of West Lincoln Highway.

WINDOWS BROKEN: Windows were broken Sept. 14 in the 200 block of Kingston Drive and the 2000 block of Nelson Road.

SUSPENDED LICENSE: Heber Navarrete, 24, 919 E. Joliet Highway, New Lenox, was charged with driving on a suspended license after a stop Sept. 14 at U.S. 30 and Nelson Road, police said.

SUSPENDED LICENSE: Eduardo Seba, 20, of Joliet, was charged with driving on a suspended license and no insurance after a Sept. 14 stop at Gougar and Maple roads, police said.

WARRANT ARREST: Judy Zyla, 46, 787 Sojourn Road, New Lenox, was arrested on a warrant after being stopped Sept. 14 in the 500 block of East Lincoln Highway, police said.

SUSPENDED LICENSE: Christina Munoz, 40, of Berwyn, was charged with driving on a suspended license and on suspended registration and no insurance after a stop Sept. 14 at Nelson Road and U.S. 30, police said.

ALCOHOL CHARGE: Marc Damico, 20, 214 Somerset Court, New Lenox, was charged with illegal transportation of alcohol, possession of drug equipment, no insurance and improper display of registration after a stop Sept. 14 at Joliet Highway and Prairie Road, police said.

STOLEN PROPERTY: Enrique Castro-Gonzalez, 31, of Joliet, was charged with possession of stolen property, driving on a suspended license and no insurance after a stop Sept. 15 at Kris Drive and Nelson Road, police said.

NO LICENSE: Michael Hesser, 38, of Manhattan, was charged with driving without a valid license and no insurance after being stopped Sept. 15 at Nelson Road and Timber Place, police said.

WARRANT ARRESTS: Larry Smith, 34, 725 Cooper Road, New Lenox, and James Jackson, 34, 20 Apple Lane, Park Forest, were arrested on warrants after a Sept. 16 stop at Grandview Drive and Nelson Road, police said.

VEHICLE KEYED: A vehicle was scratched Sept. 16 in the 300 block of Church Street.

BROKEN WINDOWS: Windows were broken on a building Sept. 17 in the 200 block of Kingston Drive.

VEHICLE BURGLARY: A purse and electronics were stolen from a vehicle Sept. 17 in the 400 block of DeGroate Road.

SWING STOLEN: A porch swing was stolen from a residence Sept. 18 in the 2800 block of Shannon Lane.

WILL COUNTY

VANDALISM: Vandals damaged a 2005 Dodge van three times between Sept. 2 and 8 in the 2100 block of Delaney Road, New Lenox Township. On Sept. 2, the fan belt was cut, the hood was scratched Sept. 6 and on Sept. 8, three eggs were thrown at the side of the van and the side panel was scratched.

COPPER STOLEN: Copper coils were stolen Sept. 7 from two storage sheds and a portable trailer on ComEd property at Laraway and Schoolhouse roads in New Lenox Township.

VAN THEFT: A Ford Econoline 350 work van was stolen Sept. 8 in the 9400 block of West Willow Lane, Frankfort Township.

HOME BURGLARY: A shotgun and an air pellet rifle were stolen from gun cases in a home Sept. 12 in the 20000 block of Spruce Drive, Frankfort Township.

SCRAP STOLEN: Several scrap steel pipes were stolen from a business parking lot and a trash container used for storing scrap metal was missing its contents Sept. 12 in the 1300 block of Schoolhouse Road, New Lenox Township.

HOME BURGLARY: A purse was stolen from a residence Sept. 13 in the 800 block of Regent Street, New Lenox Township.

NO LICENSE: Joanne Flores, 46, 8063 Wheatfield Drive, Frankfort, was charged with driving without a valid license after a stop Sept. 14 at 80th Avenue and Pine Hill Road, Frankfort Township, police said.

CAR THEFT: A 1993 Buick Century was stolen Sept. 16 in the 19000 block of Poplar Street, Frankfort Township.

WINDOW BROKEN: A landscape brick was thrown through the window of a vehicle Sept. 17 in the 20000 block of Graceland Lane, Frankfort Township.

VEHICLE BURGLARY: A GPS unit, an iPod, 500 compact discs and $175 cash were stolen from a vehicle Sept. 19 in the 20000 block of Graceland Lane, Frankfort Township.
