For the second year, Will County employees have shown their generosity in donating hats, gloves, mittens and scarves to families in need during the holiday season.
As part of the annual holiday food basket distribution sponsored by the Will County Center for Community Concerns, county employees collected more than 300 items that were given to local families.
This year’s drive was especially important, according to Kris White, executive director of the center, who said her agency has seen more clients this year due to the difficult economy.
She said this year the agency provided food baskets to more than 125 families.
