CenterPoint hosting business workshops

CenterPoint at Governors State University will host free two-hour workshops focusing on the personal, financial and legal aspects of starting a business. The workshops will also offer information about resources available to assist new business owners.

One workshop will start at 5:30 p.m. Monday at Old Plank Trail Bank, 20901 S. LaGrange Road, Frankfort. Another will start at 9 a.m. Jan. 12 at Lemont Village Hall, 418 Main St.

Weigh in on best pizza in New Lenox

The Community Board of the Cancer Support Center is hosting “The Best Pizza in New Lenox” from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Jan. 21 at VFW Post 9545, 323 Old Hickory Road, New Lenox.

Attendees will sample pizzas from New Lenox restaurants and vote for their favorites. Proceeds benefit the Cancer Support Center.

The cost is $10 for adults and $5 for kids 10 and younger.
