BASEBALL

Southland: The Satchel Paige All-Stars Travel Baseball Team is looking for youth baseball players in age groups 13 to 14, 15 to 16 and 17 to 18 that would like to be a part of its 2012 Summer Travel Baseball Team that will include trips to Cincinnati, Omaha, Orlando and Puerto Rico. BASKETBALL

Crete: North American Youth Sports will host its annual spring youth basketball tournament March 16 to 18 at Crete-Monee High School. The tournament is open to boys and girls’ teams from fifth grade through 12th grade, with separate brackets set up for each age group. Teams are guaranteed at least two games each. CHEERLEADING

FOOTBALL
Southland: Bo Jackson Elite Sports, 17130 S. Prime Blvd,, Lockport, is offering new 7-on-7 instructional football leagues. The program runs on Sundays for seven weeks and is split into two divisions of fifth and sixth graders and seventh and eighth graders. The second session runs April 15 to May 28. The format of the program is 30 minutes of speed and agility training, 30 minutes of position specific offensive training, 30 minutes of position specific defensive training, and a 60-minute instructional 7-on-7 game.
