Country Club Hills, Homewood police blotter

COUNTRY CLUB HILLS

HOME BURGLARY: Two flat-screen televisions were stolen June 4 from a home in the 4000 block of Cambridge Drive.

RUSE BURGLARY: A Country Club Hills man told police a man who asked for a bucket of water for his car stole $1,000 from a dresser drawer June 4 after the resident allowed him inside his home in the 4200 block of 190th Place.

DOMESTIC DISPUTE: Four Markham residents were charged following a domestic dispute June 5 on a front lawn in the 17700 block of Oakwood Avenue. Charged with assault and criminal trespass was Charla Bacon-Ball, 35, 3217 W. 166th St., while Gabrielle Myles, 21, 16212 Cambridge Drive, was charged with domestic battery, police said. They said Shavon Franks, 37, 16212 Cambridge Drive, and Darnell Ball, 39, 3217 W. 166th St., were charged with criminal trespass.

MARIJUANA ARREST: Shaun Edwards, 18, 4333 W. 175th Place, Country Club Hills, was charged with possession of marijuana and resisting police after a June 5 stop at 175th Street and Maple Avenue, police said. They said Schauncey Blevins, 18, 17812 Dogwood St., Hazel Crest, was charged with unauthorized possession of a weapon after police found him with a BB gun during the stop.

DOMESTIC BATTERY: Diaz Thomas, 28, 4355 W. 181st St., Country Club Hills, was charged with domestic battery and criminal damage to property after a June 6 incident in the 4300 block of 181st Street, police said.

DUI ARREST: Cheryl Sims-Washington, 50, 18960 Cypress Ave., Country Club Hills, was charged with drunken driving, driving on a suspended license, improper lane use and no insurance and was arrested on a Cook County warrant for driving on a suspended license after a June 9 stop at 189th Street and Loras Lane, police said.

DOMESTIC BATTERY: Xavier Joshua, 49, 5515 W. 155th St., Oak Forest, and Michelle Stoffle, 43, 2822 Minnesota Ave., Blue Island, were charged with domestic battery after a disturbance June 9 in the 18200 block of Pulaski Road, police said.

HOMEWOOD

RECKLESS DRIVING: Tony Miller, 45, of Des Plaines, was charged with reckless driving, driving on a suspended license and running a stop sign after a June 8 stop in the 800 block of 187th Street, police said. They said Sonny Miller, 19, 7745 W. 87th St., Bridgeview, was arrested on a Will County warrant, and Walter Miller, 45, of the same address, was arrested on Cook County and Chicago warrants during the same stop.

VEHICLE BURGLARY: A stereo and cash were stolen June 9 from a vehicle in the 18300 block of Morris Avenue.

HOME BURGLARY: Someone entered a house in the 1900 block of Pine Road through a window on June 10 or 11, but it wasn’t clear if anything was stolen.

TRESPASSING: Kalen Tartt, 19, 18910 Jonathan, Homewood, was charged with trespassing and resisting police June 11 in the 18500 block of Sacramento Avenue.

STOLEN STEREO: A stereo was stolen June 12 from a vehicle at Jewel-Osco, 3153 183rd St.

DOMESTIC BATTERY: Michael Lang, 50, 1549 183rd St., Homewood, was charged with domestic battery after a June 13 incident at Bank of America, 18460 Governors Highway, police said.

REVOKED LICENSE: Kevin Dixon, 45, 14618 Dante, Dolton, was charged with driving on a revoked license, having expired registration, obstructing identification, no insurance and having an obstructed windshield after a June 13 stop in the 1400 block of Ridge Road, police said.

DISORDERLY CONDUCT: Stanley Williams, 27, 4104 Lindenwood Drive, Matteson, was charged with disorderly conduct, trespassing and public intoxication after a June 13 disturbance in the 18300 block of Governors Highway, police said.

WEAPON CHARGE: Cory Bridges, 31, 13906 Indiana Ave., Riverdale, was charged with unlawful use of a weapon after a loaded handgun was found in his backpack June 14 at 174th and Halsted streets, police said.
