ManorCare Health Services in Homewood recently announced the opening of its newly expanded and renovated rehabilitation unit and gym.
The short-term rehabilitation unit is designed to help patients focus on returning home and back to a meaningful lifestyle as quickly as possible, said ManorCare officials.
In celebration, ManorCare recently hosted an open house for area professionals featuring a ribbon cutting ceremony officiated by Homewood Mayor Richard Hofeld.
ManorCare’s short-term rehabilitation unit includes 70 beds, a newly expanded and newly renovated 2,200-square-foot rehabilitation gym; a lobby, Internet cafe, dining room and nursing station.
“Our new rehab expansion provides a state-of-the-art health care option for patients and hospitals from across the region,” said ManorCare administrator Patricia Stoudt. “We are excited about how this new unit will allow patients to recover in a more comfortable rehab focused environment.”
