Flossmoor, Homewood police blotter

FLOSSMOOR

THEFT: Vehicle emblems were stolen June 7 from two vehicles in the 3700 block of Cherry Hills Drive.

DAMAGED DOOR: Pry marks were discovered June 9 on a garage door in the 700 block of Central Park Avenue.

THEFT: Hubcaps were stolen June 13 from two vehicles parked behind Kluger Furs, 3303 Vollmer Road.

HOME BURGLARY: Two televisions, jewelry and other goods were stolen between June 14 and 17 from a house in the 1200 block of Dartmouth Road.

VEHICLE BURGLARIES: Windows were broken and items stolen June 16 from three vehicles in the south lot at Homewood-Flossmoor High School, 999 Kedzie Ave.

RESISTING ARREST: Preston D. Sparkman, 26, 1327 Hamlin Ave., Flossmoor, was charged with resisting arrest and trespassing June 21 at Leavitt Park, 2700 Park Ave., police said.

HOMEWOOD

WEAPON CHARGE: DeWayne Armstrong, 47, 221 Frederick Drive, Chicago Heights, was charged with unlawful use of a weapon after he displayed a handgun at another motorist during a traffic dispute June 15 in the 17400 block of Halsted Street, police said.

VEHICLE BURGLARY: A tripod and laser level were stolen June 16 from a vehicle in the 17600 block of Halsted Street.

PURLOINED PURSE: A purse was stolen from one vehicle and cash and credit cards were taken from another June 16 at the Izaak Walton League, 1100 Ridge Road.

HOME BURGLARY: Jewelry was discovered stolen June 17 from an apartment in the 3200 block of 184th Street.

OBSTRUCTING: Preston Sparkman, 26, 1327 Hamlin Ave., Flossmoor, was charged with walking in the roadway and obstructing justice June 18 in the 17700 block of Cherrywood Lane, police said.

BURGLARY: An electric bicycle was stolen June 18 from an open garage in the 900 block of Bowling Green Drive.

ROBBERY: A man told police he was walking June 18 in the 1100 block of Holbrook Road when four men emerged from a vehicle, asked him for money and then beat him and stole $100, police said.

DAMAGED DOOR: Someone tried to pry open a door of an apartment June 19 in the 2300 block of 183rd Street.

DUI ARREST: Efrain Orduna, 40, 16794 Hillside, Tinley Park, was charged with drunken driving, illegal transportation of alcohol, driving on an expired license, improper lane use and not wearing a seat belt after a stop June 20 at Dixie Highway and 175th Street, police said.

RETAIL THEFT: Isiah Davis, 49, of Chicago, and Maurice Walker, 51, 320 E. 147th St., Harvey, were charged with retail theft after they stole about $157 in merchandise June 20 and then tried to return it at Home Depot, 17845 Halsted St., police said.

THEFT: Two flamingo lawn ornaments were stolen June 21 from a yard in the 18400 block of Morris Avenue.
