Homewood’s French Market, a weekly outdoor venue that offers an assortment of fresh produce and local goods for sale, also hosts music and educational events 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturdays in the village hall parking lot, 2020 Chestnut Road.

Green Thumb Saturdays are held once a month. The free programs target gardeners of all skill levels, according to a market spokesman.

The schedule includes Tree Planting and Care on Sept. 8 and Composting on Oct. 13.

The village also hosts Touch of Green events that feature businesses promoting environmentally friendly activities that can be implemented at home. Nex event is on an expired prescription drug collection on Oct. 20.

On the entertainment front, the nonprofit youth group Theatre Talk Leadership Kouncil will be at the market Sept. 8. The group strives to teach leadership skills through art.

The market is run by Bensidoun USA.
