Homewood Public Library recently collaborated with the Homewood-Flossmoor Park District during the library’s Teens with Talent program.

Sixteen participants competed in two categories, original works and cover, to win a three-hour recording session with Fragile Music Group Studio in Homewood, which has recorded artists such as Day 26 and Selina Johnson.

Judges included Slavic Livins, RIAA platinum engineer; Eric LeRoc, RIAA platinum engineer, remixer and producer; Tim Grossi, owner of Fragile Music Group; and librarian Russ Woods, who also is a singer, songwriter and guitar player with the group Pretty Swans.

Raven Bell won the Original Works Award for her song, “Fine,” and Vatsana Hargrove won the Cover Award for her rendition of “Set Fire to the Rain” by Adele.
