Flossmoor, Homewood police blotter

FLOSSMOOR

THEFT: Four hubcaps were stolen Aug. 16 from a vehicle in the 3300 block of Vollmer Road.

DUI CHARGE: Nicole T. Lewis, 28, of Chicago, was charged with drunken driving, no insurance and improper lane use after a stop Aug. 17 at Western Avenue and Joe Orr Road, police said. They said a passenger, Natasha S. Lewis, 26, of Chicago, was arrested on Chicago Heights and Oak Forest warrants during the same stop.

VEHICLE BURGLARY: An iPod was stolen Aug. 18 from a vehicle at the Flossmoor Public Library, 1000 Sterling Ave.

THEFT: Several antique metal items were stolen between Aug. 18 and 20 from a back yard in the 1400 block of Lynwood Court.

STOLEN COPPER: Copper pipes were discovered stolen Aug. 22 from a vacant house in the 18700 block of Hamlin Avenue.

HOMEWOOD

THEFT: Ricardo Ruiz, 19, of Hammond, was charged with possession of stolen property after he was found with a stolen credit card Aug. 17 at Golden Glow Tanning Salon, 18737 Dixie Highway, police said.

DOMESTIC BATTERY: Marci Smith, 41, 4552 W. 122nd St., Alsip, was charged with domestic battery after an Aug. 18 incident in the 900 block of Ridge Road, police said.

THEFT: Lovell Bell, 33, 946 Central Park Ave., Flossmoor, was charged with possession of stolen property after he tried to sell a stolen phone to its owner Aug. 18 at McDonald’s, 3132 183rd St., police said.

DUI ARREST: Ruben Cortez, 22, 1225 Barbara Lane, Chicago Heights, was charged with drunken driving, speeding and no insurance after a stop Aug. 19 in the 18100 block of Dixie Highway, police said.

DOMESTIC BATTERY: Thomas Fath Jr., 46, 17936 Sacramento Ave., Homewood, was charged with domestic battery after an Aug. 19 disturbance at his home, police said.

RETAIL THEFT: Lillie Brown, 48, Carmen Miller, 18, and Demiyus Koger, 28, all of Chicago, were charged with retail theft after they stole about $1,173 in merchandise Aug. 19 from Kohl’s, 17620 Halsted St., police said. They said Brown and Koger also stole about $355 in items from Kmart, 17550 Halsted St., and Brown and Miller stole about $100 worth of goods from Bed Bath and Beyond, 17910 Halsted St., on the same day.

DOMESTIC BATTERY: Zataunia Jones, 41, 18849 Jamie Court, Homewood, was charged with domestic battery after an Aug. 21 incident at Apollo Park, 1050 191st St., police said.

DOMESTIC BATTERY: Chrisshawn Crooms, 24, 1000 Barrow Court, University Park, was charged with domestic battery and criminal damage to property and was arrested on a Hazel Crest warrant after an Aug. 23 altercation at Buffalo Wild Wings, 17510 Halsted St., police said.

POT POSSESSION: Sven Jeune, 21, 18600 Cowing Court, Homewood, was charged with possession of marijuana and drug equipment, driving on a suspended license, no insurance and driving without headlights after a stop Aug. 23 at Ridge Road and Dixie Highway, police said.

PURLOINED PURSE: A purse was stolen Aug. 23 from a vehicle in the first block of Coach Road.
