COUNTRY CLUB HILLS
THEFT: A Country Club Hills man told police someone stole three rings Oct. 20 after a large number of people visited his home in the 3600 block of 175th place.
RETAIL THEFT: Sterling Booth, 20, 9344 S. Racine Ave., Chicago, was charged with retail theft after stealing $174 worth of merchandise Oct. 31 from Wal-Mart, 4005 W. 168th Place, police said.
DOMESTIC BATTERY: Pierre Spencer, 39, 16719 Butterfield Drive, Country Club Hills, was charged with domestic battery after an Oct. 31 incident at his home, police said.
CAR THEFT: A 1996 Oldsmobile Cutlass was stolen Oct. 31 or Nov. 1 from a lot in the 4100 block of Gatling Boulevard.
DOMESTIC BATTERY: Prince Phelps, 19, 4027 W. 186th Place, Country Club Hills, was charged with domestic battery after a Nov. 1 disturbance at a home in the 17800 block of Baker Avenue, police said.
CAR BURGLARY: A laptop computer was stolen Nov. 1 or 2 from a car in the 18000 block of Juneway Court.
RETAIL THEFT: Robert Hood, 26, 6660 S. Michigan Ave., Chicago, was charged with retail theft for switching tags on bedding Nov. 2 at Wal-Mart, 4005 W. 168th Place, and underpaying by $164, police said.
GUN CHARGE: Rashid Betts, 35, 3904 W. 84th Place, Chicago, was charged with unlawful use of a weapon after police found a handgun in his car during a Nov. 2 stop in the 3800 block of 175th Place, police said.
DUI ARREST: Jessica Muniz, 23, of East Chicago, Ind., was charged with drunken driving, illegal transportation of alcohol and driving without headlights after a stop Nov. 3 at 167th Street and Central Park Avenue in Hazel Crest, police said.
CHARGES DROPPED: Charges of domestic battery and criminal damage to property were dismissed against Steven R. Jensen, 43, 803 Latimer Lane, Flossmoor, regarding an Oct. 9 incident at his home, according to Cook County court records and police.
DUI ARREST: Howard King, 53, 15742 Vine St., Harvey, was charged with drunken driving, driving on a revoked license, speeding and no insurance after an Oct. 23 stop in the 2300 block of 183rd Street, police said.
HOUSE DAMAGED: A sliding-glass door was broken with a brick Oct. 24 at a house in the 18900 block of Center Avenue.
BURGLARY: A class ring, money, an iPhone and a gold necklace were stolen from two locked lockers Oct. 24 at the Homewood-Flossmoor Racquet and Fitness Club, 2920 183rd St., police said.
VANDALISM: Four tires on a vehicle were flattened Oct. 27 in a driveway at a house in the 1400 block of 183rd Street.
PROPERTY DAMAGE: A plate-glass window was broken Oct. 28 at Radio Shack, 17759 Halsted St.
DUI CHARGE: Omar Boston, 30, of the 800 block of Terrace Avenue, Glenwood, was charged with drunken driving, battery, resisting arrest, driving without a valid license, improper lane use, and criminal damage to property after a stop Oct. 28 in the 18200 block of Halsted Street, police said.
RETAIL THEFT: Kimberly Plummer, 19, of Markham, and Michelle Gardner, 19, of Riverdale, were charged with retail theft after they stole clothing worth more than $500 from Kohl’s, 17620 Halsted St., police said.
THEFT: A customer drove his 2000 Chevrolet Tahoe from Pep Boys, 18024 Halsted St., on Oct. 31 without paying for repairs worth $2,850.
DUI CASE: Delwin Brooks, 25, 14500 Hoyne Ave., Dixmoor, was charged with drunken driving, possession of drug paraphernalia, illegal transportation of alcohol, speeding and improper lane usage after being stopped Nov. 1 at 183rd Street and Homewood Drive, police said.
HOME BURGLARY: The rear door was pried open and various items were stolen Nov. 3 from an apartment in the 3200 block of 184th Street
DOMESTIC BATTERY: Dalana Holt, 32, of the 19400 block of Glenwood Avenue, Chicago Heights, was charged with domestic battery Nov. 4 after two employees of a store in the 17900 block of Halsted Street saw her using a plastic hanger to strike a boy in her car, police said.
WEAPON CHARGE: Donald Carter, 41, of the 18400 block of Stonecreek Drive, Hazel Crest, was charged with unlawful use of a weapon by a felon, having expired registration and transportation of open alcohol after police found a loaded 9 mm gun and a bottle of liquor in his car during a stop Nov. 4 in the 17600 block of Halsted Street, police said.
