Meijer plans get tentative OK

Flossmoor trustees Monday approved a conceptual plan for a 24-hour Meijer store and five outlots being proposed at Vollmer Road and Crawford Avenue.
Banks or restaurants could be among the businesses that lease space in the outlots, Village Manager Bridget Wachtel said. More detailed plans for the proposed Meijer, which would sell general merchandise and groceries, will be submitted to the village for review, she said.
Chamber officer installation Jan. 19
The Oak Lawn Chamber of Commerce will hold its annual installation dinner for officers and directors from 6 to 11 p.m. Jan. 19 at the Hilton Oak Lawn, 9333 S. Cicero Ave.
