THEFT: Someone stole $4,000 worth of copper pipes, a refrigerator and a stove from a vacant house in the 18200 block of Idlewild Drive sometime before Dec. 6.
THEFT: Someone stole copper piping, a kitchen sink, a water boiler, a stove and a refrigerator from a vacant house in the 18000 block of Olympia Drive between Dec. 15 and 26.
POT POSSESSION: Tawanda Curtis, 38, 1301 S. Avers, Chicago, was charged with possession of marijuana after being questioned by police Dec. 18 outside Walmart, 4005 W. 168th Place, police said.
DOMESTIC BATTERY: Corey Gavin, 25, 16431 California Ave., Markham, was charged with domestic battery after a Dec. 18 incident in the 3700 block of 176th Street, police said.
BATTERY: Deltric Smith, 25, 17471 Park Lane, Country Club Hills, was charged with battery for spitting in the face of a paramedic who was treating him at his home Dec. 18, police said.
BATTERY: Kimkishia Fonder, 29, 17008 Novak Drive, Hazel Crest, was charged with battery after punching and scratching a friend while riding in a car Dec. 19 at 167th Street and Pulaski Road, police said.
LOTTERY THEFT: A man wearing a black hoodie stole a stack of about 200 scratch-off lottery tickets worth $3 apiece on Dec. 20 at the 7-Eleven, 19090 Pulaski Road.
APPLIANCES STOLEN: A Country Club Hills man told police someone stole a washer and dryer from his home in the 17700 block of Arlington Drive between Dec. 20 and 22.
DISORDERLY CONDUCT: Derek Smith, 32, 9620 S. Euclid Ave., Chicago, was charged with disorderly conduct after grabbing women who were standing in line Dec. 21, waiting for Footlocker, 4151 W. 167th St., to open, police said.
DUI ARREST: Helen Stearns, 53, 17770 Central Park Ave., Country Club Hills, was charged with drunken driving, improper lane use and no insurance after a Dec. 21 stop at 175th Street and Pulaski Road, police said.
RETAIL THEFT: Julie Bell, 31, 101 E. 155th St., Harvey, was charged with retail theft and contributing to the delinquency of a minor after stealing merchandise Dec. 22 from Wal-Mart, 4005 W. 168th Place, police said. They said a juvenile was also charged with retail theft.
HOME BURGLARY: Electronics, jewelry and $348 cash were stolen Dec. 23 from a home in the 17600 block of Larkin Lane.
HOME BURGLARY: A Country Club Hills couple returned home late Dec. 24 to discover their house ransacked and several stolen goods, including two video game systems, two televisions, two desktop computers, two notebook computers and one tablet computer.
DOMESTIC BATTERY: Tracy Beasley, 44, 1182 Williamsburg Road, Country Club Hills, was charged with domestic battery after a Dec. 26 disturbance at his home, police said.
SCROOGE STRIKES: Someone cut the wires of two lighted deer decorations Dec. 17 at a house in the 100 block of Martin Avenue.
BURGLARY: Several items were stolen Dec. 17 from a residence in the fist block of Spruce Road.
FORGERY: Richard Huff, 53, of Harvey, was charged with forgery after he tried to cash a fraudulent check Dec. 18 at Bank of America, 18460 Governors Highway, police said.
THEFT: Someone stole three packages and a bouquet of flowers Dec. 18 from outside a home in the first block of 187th Street.
THEFT: Herbert Turner, 54, of the 1900 block of Ashland Avenue in Chicago Heights, was charged with retail theft and trespassing after stealing merchandise Dec. 19 from Menards, 17545 Halsted St., police said. They said Turner fled and was arrested a short time later in a restaurant parking lot at Maple and Halsted streets.
DOMESTIC DISTURBANCE: John Owens, 51, of the 2800 block of Chayes Park Drive, Homewood, was charged with domestic battery after a Dec. 20 incident at his residence, police said.
WINDOW BROKEN: A window was broken Dec. 22 at a house in the 100 block of Carson Drive.
POT POSSESSION: Johnnie Simmons, 49, of the 5900 block of Lakeside Place, Tinley Park, was charged with possession of marijuana, driving on a revoked license, no insurance and driving with one headlight after a stop Dec. 22 in the 900 block of 175th Street, police said.
PHONY STORY: Juan Ruiz, 26, of Chicago, was arrested on a warrant and charged with disorderly conduct after making a false report to police Dec. 25 about two men assaulting him and stealing Christmas presents from his vehicle, police said. They said Ruiz later admitted that he made up the story because he had not bought his girlfriend anything for Christmas.
THEFT: A cellphone and phone accessories were stolen Dec. 25 at a Christmas party in the first block of 183rd Street.
CAR BURGLARY: A purse was stolen Dec. 26 from a car in the 100 block of Kings Road.
RETAIL THEFT: Fahed Jaber, 53, of the 7900 block of Tameling Court, Palos Hills, was charged with retail theft after he stole $1,721 worth of merchandise Dec. 27 from Menards, 17545 Halsted St., police said.
