Flossmoor man dies from crash injuries

A Flossmoor man died Wednesday, more than a week after he was hurt in a crash near north suburban Riverwoods.
Ibeabuchi Asonye, 64, of the 1400 block of Heather Hill Crescent, was injured in the crash that occurred about 8 a.m. Jan. 21 on Deerfield Road, according to the Cook County medical examiner’s office.
It said at least two vehicles were involved in the crash. Riverwoods police had no immediate information on the crash Wednesday night.
Asonye was taken to Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn, where he died at 8:45 a.m. Wednesday, the medical examiner’s office said.
