Bail was set at $25,000 Monday for a Country Club Hills woman who was charged along with two Chicago women and a 14-year-old girl in the robbery of two women Sunday morning on Chicago’s Near North Side, authorities said.
Erica D. Riley, 18, of the 16700 block of Butterfield Drive, was charged with one felony count of robbery and one misdemeanor count of battery, police said. Leah E. Robinson, 22, of the 6900 block of South Oglesby Avenue; and Aliyah L. Thompson, 22, of the 8500 block of South University Avenue, both of Chicago, face the same charges, police said. A 14-year-old girl was charged as a juvenile, police said.
Robinson’s bail was set at $50,000, and Thompson’s at $25,000, according to the Cook County Sheriff’s office.
The suspects approached two 21-year-old women who were walking in the first block of East Grand Avenue about 1:10 a.m. Sunday, police said. The suspects became involved in a physical altercation with the women before robbing them of personal items and fleeing, police said.
The suspects were positively identified by the victims and witnesses after being arrested, police said.
