At a recent meeting, the Swallow Cliff Chapter of the National Society Daughters of the American Revolution installed its new slate of officers for the 2013-15 term.

They are:

♦ Eles Miller, of Orland Park, as regent.

♦ Gale Shafer, of Tinley Park, as vice regent.

♦ Omega Riley-Cole, of Oak Forest, as chaplain.

♦ Lisa Smith, of Oak Lawn, as recording secretary.

♦ Barbara Lamb, of Palos Hills, as corresponding secretary.

♦ Paula Fitzgerald, of Orland Park, as treasurer.

♦ Gloria Flathom, of Oak Lawn, as registrar.

♦ Marilyn Earnest, of Oak Forest, as historian.

♦ Jane Fulghum, of Glenwood, as librarian.

The National Society Daughters of the American Revolution is a nonprofit, nonpolitical organization dedicated to preserving American history, securing America’s future through better education and promoting patriotism.

Membership in the DAR is a unique opportunity to honor one’s lineage and heritage as a descendant of a patriot of the American Revolution.
