Flossmoor: Viking Diving Club’s Fall One session featuring 10 one-hour classes for beginner, intermediate and advanced divers, will run from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. Mondays and Wednesdays from Monday to Oct. 9. Southland: Unique Bassmasters, Rayjus Outdoors and the Oak Lawn High School Spartan fishing team and its sponsors will host the Rayjus Outdoors-Oak Lawn Community High School Bass Tournament on the Kankakee/Des Plaines River on Oct. 12. Homewood: The Homewood-Flossmoor Park District will offer Wado-Ki Pre-Karate for ages 4 to 6 and Wado-Ki Karate for ages 6 to adult from 5:30 to 6:15 p.m. Tuesdays and Thursdays through Oct. 24 at the Irwin Community Center, 18120 Highland Ave. Fees: $52 per class ($78 nonresidents). Chicago Heights: Marian Catholic High School’s 24th annual Endowment Golf Classic will be held at Olympia Fields Country Club on Sept. 16 to raise funds for the Endowment Classic Scholarship Fund of Marian Catholic. New this year, tennis players can register and play on Olympia Fields’ Har-Tru clay courts. Singles and doubles players are welcome and play begins at 2 p.m. Tennis players can then join golfers at the EGC Dinner. Fees: $125 for tennis, dinner and snacks and beverages throughout the day. Homewood: The Homewood-Flossmoor Park District will offer a variety of volleyball programs in the fall. Women’s Volleyball, for ages 19 and up, will be held from 7 to 9:30 p.m. Mondays from Monday to Dec. 16 at Parker Junior High. Sign up as a team or individually and be placed on a team. Southland: The Mokena Park District will host four adult indoor coed volleyball leagues in the fall, beginning Monday. The A-League (competitive) will play on Monday nights, the B-League (upper-intermediate) and C-League (lower-intermediate) on Tuesday nights and the D-League (recreational) on Wednesday nights. Matches will be played from 6:45 to 8:45 p.m. at the Oaks Recreation and Fitness Center, 10847 W. LaPorte Road. Team rosters must consist of between six and 12 players.
