The newest Olympia Fields trustee is Willett Hudson, a retired bank vice president who has served on the village’s enhancement committee, police pension board and finance committee.
Hudson was chosen from a field of nine applicants for the seat vacated by Susan Ormsby, who moved from the village, according to Mayor Debra Meyers-Martin.
“(Hudson) is really involved in the village,” said Meyers-Martin, who recommended her to the village board. “She has served in so many capacities in the village that I knew her commitment and her dedication to village government is extremely high, and that she is extremely qualified.”
Hudson will finish the rest of Ormsby’s term and be up for election in April 2015, Meyers-Martin said.
