COUNTRY CLUB HILLS
VAN THEFT: A 2001 Dodge Grand Caravan was stolen Sept. 30 or Oct. 1 from a driveway in the 3800 block of 167th Place.
CAR DAMAGED: Someone shattered the rear window of a car using a gun or a pellet gun Oct. 1 or 2 in the 18900 block of Willow Avenue.
HUNTER CHARGED: Issac Robinson, 21, 3707 Briar Lane, Hazel Crest, was charged with unlawful hunting, disorderly conduct, driving on a suspended license and no insurance and was arrested on a Cook County warrant after police saw him hunting geese with a rifle Oct. 2 in Wolf Park, 186th Street and Baker, police said.
HOME BURGLARY: Four computers and four purses were stolen Oct. 3 from a house in the 19400 block of Oak Avenue.
QUICK-CHANGE SCAM: A cashier at Wal-Mart, 4005 W. 168th Place, was duped Oct. 4 by a con man who paid for a loaf of bread with a $100 bill and then kept asking for change in different size bills, shorting the cashier’s drawer by $100.
DUI ARREST: Sammy Braggs, 40, 8322 S. Sangamon St., Chicago, was charged with drunken driving, illegal transportation of alcohol and improper lane use after an Oct. 5 stop at 175th Street and Pulaski Road, police said.
DRUG CHARGES: Rafael Wiley, 27, of South Holland, was charged with possession of a controlled substance, possession and sale of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia, driving under the influence of drugs, driving on a suspended license, having expired registration and no insurance after a stop Sept. 28 at 175th Street and Howe Avenue, police said.
BATTERY: Hannah Reder, 18, and Sara Reder, 18, both of the 1500 block of Burr Oak Road in Homewood, were charged with battery, resisting police and underage drinking Sept. 28 after an incident in the 900 block of Sunset Drive in Glenwood, police said.
DUI ARREST: Clarence Brown, 24, of Harvey, was charged with drunken driving, illegal transportation of open alcohol, improper lane use and no insurance after being stopped Sept. 28 at Dixie Highway and Cedar Road, police said.
THEFT: A catalytic converter was stolen Sept. 28 from a vehicle at Jewel-Osco, 17705 Halsted St.
DOMESTIC BATTERY: Lawrence Oswalt, 35, of 18200 Center Avenue in Homewood, was charged with domestic battery and violating an order of protection after a Sept. 28 incident in the 18600 block of Harwood Avenue, police said.
DUI CHARGE: Rakell Henderson, 25, of the 700 block of Central Park Avenue in Flossmoor, was charged with drunken driving and being parked in the roadway after a Sept. 29 stop at 187th Street and Riegel Road, police said.
BATTERY: Jeffrey Reed, 40, of Chicago, was charged with battery Sept. 30 after an incident at Freedom Village in the 900 block of Maple Avenue, police said.
POT POSSESSION: Westin Brown, 22, of the 1400 block of William Street in Flossmoor, was charged with possession of marijuana after a stop Sept. 30 in the 3300 block of 184th Street, police said.
MARIJUANA CHARGE: Terrill Taylor, 21, of Harvey, was charged with possession of marijuana and no insurance Oct. 3 after a stop in the 19200 block of Halsted Street, police said.
POT POSSESSION: Fanta Lewis, 33, of the 2800 block of Walnut Road in Homewood, was charged with possession of marijuana, driving on a suspended license and having expired registration after a stop Oct. 3 in the 18200 block of California Avenue, police said.
