Flossmoor, Homewood police blotter

FLOSSMOOR

DUI ARREST: Sean M. McCarthy, 25, 1211 Braeburn Ave., Flossmoor, was charged with drunken driving and not reducing speed to avoid an accident after a one-vehicle accident Aug. 21 on Flossmoor Road near Dixie Highway, police said.

VEHICLE BURGLARY: A purse and GPS unit were stolen Aug. 22 or 23 from an unlocked vehicle in the 1300 block of Dixie Highway.

DOMESTIC BATTERY: Clarence C. Patterson, 44, 2319 Marston Lane, Flossmoor, was charged with domestic battery and resisting arrest after an Aug. 23 incident at his home, police said.

THEFT: A catalytic converter was stolen Aug. 25 from a vehicle at the Flossmoor Public Library, 1000 Sterling Ave.

HOMEWOOD

RECKLESS DRIVING: Brandon Roberts, 21, 621 Sequoia, Flossmoor, was charged with reckless driving, fleeing from police and speeding after an Aug. 18 stop at Redwood Lane and Carmel Drive, police said.

DOMESTIC BATTERY: Tracy Ford, 43, 1259 Elder Road, Homewood, was charged with domestic battery after an Aug. 20 incident at her home, police said.

VEHICLE BURGLARY: A purse was stolen Aug. 20 from an unlocked vehicle in the 18800 block of Ashland Avenue.

RETAIL THEFT: Ernest Marr, 40, 16810 Ellis Court, South Holland, was charged with retail theft and resisting arrest after he stole a DVD player and other items Aug. 21 from Kmart, 17550 Halsted St., police said.

RETAIL THEFT: Raeanne Panozzo, 43, 317 N. Julian, Thornton, was charged with retail theft after she stole about $120 worth of jewelry Aug. 22 from Target, 17605 Halsted St., police said.

FORGERY: Jermaine L. Meyers, 24, 300 Iris Lane, Chicago Heights, was charged with forgery after he tried to pass a fake check Aug. 23 at the Homewood Currency Exchange, 807 Maple Road, police said.

BIKE THEFT: A bicycle was stolen Aug. 23 from in front of the Homewood Public Library, 17917 Dixie Highway.

BATTERY: Brandy M. Woods, 20, 3100 Redwood Court, Flossmoor, was charged with battery after an Aug. 23 incident outside Excalibur Bar-B-Cue, 18328 Kedzie Ave., police said.
