Women’s group donates school supplies

The Cosmopolitan Chapter of the Top Ladies of Distinction, Inc. recently donated school supplies to Medgar Evers Primary Academy Center in Ford Heights.

Top Ladies of Distinction, Inc. is a volunteer and service organization that assists youth and seniors, promotes community beautification and recognizes women who have made a difference.

In addition to the Medgar Evers classroom project, the Top Ladies make regular donations to the Bremen Township Food Pantry, collect and contribute youth books and magazines to local barbershops and beauty salons, and host annual Christmas parties for senior citizens at local nursing home facilities.

The Cosmopolitan Chapter has 14 members, and its founder and president is Carolynn McIntosh, of Country Club Hills.
