Post 311 to begin bar operations

VFW Post 311, 22341 Governors Highway, Richton Park, will begin bar operations from 4 p.m. to midnight daily beginning Feb. 1.

“Over the last several months, we have been involved in an extensive bar renovation project in order to improve our atmosphere,” said VFW Post 311 commander Ernie Mercer. “The work will be complete in the last days of January.

“At the same time that we have worked on improving our bar area, we have added bar lighting, a pool table, a state-of-the-art jukebox, a dart machine and other interesting features.”

The post also hosts Friday night Bid Whist parties with Monopoly tables; Monday evening line dancing; Wednesday evening bingo; and Thursday night karaoke.
