A Park Forest woman who was home with a sleeping 1-year-old daughter reported that a masked man forced his way into her house Jan. 10 and demanded money at gunpoint, police said.
The intruder — wearing a bandanna around his face and a hooded sweatshirt — broke a door window and entered her home in the 300 block of Somonauk Street, pointed a gun at the woman and demanded money, threatening to kill her if she didn’t comply, according to police.
They said that when the woman tried to run away, the man caught her and again threatened her. She then gave him about $3,000 from her purse and the man fled, police said.
