Richton Park woman dies almost 2 months after hit by truck

An autopsy conducted Saturday determined that a 75-year-old woman died from injuries she sustained when a truck hit her almost two months ago in front of the nursing home where she lived in Richton Park.
The truck hit Teresa Gonzales in front of a nursing home located in the 2200 block of Cicero Avenue on April 7, according to the Cook County medical examiner’s office.
She was pronounced dead at St. James Hospital on Friday, the medical examiner’s office said.
An autopsy found that Gonzales died from multiple injuries caused by a truck striking a pedestrian, and her death was ruled an accident, the medical examiner’s office said.
