BASEBALL

BASKETBALL
Chicago Heights: Prairie State College women’s basketball coach Jeff Boyd will host a basketball camp for boys and girls in grades five to eight from 8 to 10 a.m. June 25 to 29 at St. James Health and Wellness Institute, 100 W. 197th Place, Chicago Heights. Flossmoor: The H-F Racquet and Fitness Club is offering basketball lessons for boys and girls ages 7 to 16. Classes are 30 minutes each and are offered from 6 to 7:30 p.m. on Mondays and Wednesdays. Three sessions will be held: session two runs from July 9 to 18 and session three from July 30 to Aug. 8. Fee: $60. Information: (708) 799-1323.
South Holland: South Suburban College will host its championship basketball camps from Monday to June 28, with a shooting camp from 1 to 4 p.m. Monday to Thursday and a skills camp from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. June 25 to 28. The camps are for boys and girls ages 7 to 17. Fees: $55 for shooting camp, $95 for skills camp, $130 for both camps. BOXING
Harvey: Restoration Ministries’ Harvey Boxing Club will hold its annual summer boxing camp for kids ages 8 to 18 from Monday to Aug. 3. The camp will meet from 10 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Mondays to Fridays at the Harvey Boxing Club, 15331 Broadway. Fee: $40 plus $45 for USA boxing license. CHEERLEADING
Glenwood: The Glenwood Cougars cheerleading/pom squads, for kids ages 5 to 14 that aren’t entering high school in the fall, will hold registration from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. July 7 and from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. July 30 and Aug. 3 at the Hickory Glen Fieldhouse, 192nd Street and Minerva, Glenwood. Flossmoor: Viking Diving Club’s summer session will be held from Monday to June 27 at Homewood-Flossmoor High School. Glenwood: The Glenwood Cougars football program, for players ages 5 to 14 that aren’t entering high school in the fall, will hold registration from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. July 7 and from 6 to 8 p.m. July 30 and Aug. 3 at the Hickory Glen Fieldhouse, 192nd Street and Minerva, Glenwood. Fee: $270 and a $50 refundable equipment charge for new players; $220 and a $50 refundable equipment charge for returning players. Southland: The Hillcrest High School athletic department will hold its annual Golf with the Pros outing June 29 at Ravisloe Country Club, 18231 S. Park Ave., Homewood. Registration will begin at 11:30 a.m. and tee-off is set for 1:30 p.m. Several current and former professional athletes are expected to participate.
