Poets honored at inaugural Poetry Slam

Students from Rich South High School recently competed in the school’s inaugural Poetry Slam. The event also included performances by the school’s Drama Club.
The top three poets were recognized for their efforts.
“The 90-minute program is sure to be the first of many to come,” said school officials in a news release.
The winners of the event included Victoria White (first place); Iris Avinger-Russell (second place); and “Sean” Oluseun Arowolaju (third place).
