A Richton Park man and a Chicago teenager have been charged with first-degree murder and two counts of armed robbery each for shooting a man and robbing his girlfriend as they sat in a vehicle early Saturday in Chicago’s Kenwood community, police said.
Michael Tucker, 20, of the 3800 block of East Rita Drive in Richton Park, and Kiontae A. Mack, 17, of the 13100 block of South Corliss Avenue, walked up with a handgun and announced a robbery as the man and his girlfriend sat in a vehicle about 2:30 a.m. in the 4900 block of South Drexel Boulevard, police said.
When the man attempted to fight, one of the males shot him multiple times, police said.
Stephin Wilkins, who was in his 20s, was taken to Northwestern Memorial Hospital, where he was pronounced dead at 3:10 a.m., the Cook County medical examiner’s office said.
