Richton Park Village Manager De’Carlon Seewood recently appointed Pamela Vidovic as parks and recreation director, a position officials said was created to support the administration, and to organize and direct the village’s parks and recreation programs and services.
Vidovic’s tasks include developing, administering and managing a comprehensive and quality parks and recreation program, village officials said.
Vidovic said she has plans to lead her staff to provide well-rounded, affordable, quality programming for village residents by creating special and holiday events, conducting budgeting, fundraising and grant research; and developing to enhance existing facilities and planning for future projects.
“First order of business is to get the pulse on Richton Park, meeting and greeting as many organizations, schools, businesses and, most importantly, residents to create a game plan with their wants, needs and interests,” Vidovic said.
Vidovic said she has plans to add fresh programs and partner with school systems to connect the park and recreation department to the community.
“I want residents to know my door is always open and their input is my most valuable tool,” Vidovic said.
Seewood also appointed Jill Norris as management analyst. Norris will assist the village manager in the development, administration and coordination of various governmental functions and programs and is responsible for grant administration and coordination.
