Updated: October 24, 2012 6:04AM

Richton Park will host the Kelly Miller Circus for two performances at 4:30 and 7:30 p.m. Monday at Lakewood Fields, 5901 Sauk Trail.

Children age 11 and younger will be admitted for free but will need tickets, which are available at Richton Park businesses and at the community center. Children will be charged $5 at the gate without a ticket.

Tickets for adults are $10 in advance and $15 at the gate. All advance-purchase tickets must be picked up at the village hall or community center.

The show travels on a fleet of 25 vehicles and requires an area of 90,000 square feet. The circus big top, imported from Italy, has a seating capacity of 1,500 and is made of waterproof vinyl.

The tent is 120 feet by 130 feet and is 40 feet high. It is supported by more than a quarter of a mile of heavy gauge aluminum tubing as well as several miles of rope, steel cable and chain.
