BASKETBALL
Chicago Heights: Bloom girls basketball coach Ron Newquist and Elite Basketball are running a fall skill clinic at Bloom’s McCann Gym each Tuesday and Thursday night through Oct. 25. CHEERLEADING
Flossmoor: The Homewood-Flossmoor High School varsity cheerleaders will host a clinic for all students from 5 to 7:30 p.m. Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday in the north building gym at H-F. All participants will perform at halftime of H-F’s football game Friday. Fee: $50 (includes sweatshirt, snack and bow). Registration forms will be available in local elementary and middle schools as well as in the H-F athletic office.
DIVING
Flossmoor: The Fall II session of diving classes for Viking Diving Club runs from Oct. 10 to Nov. 14 for beginner, intermediate and advanced divers. FISHING
Southland: Oak Lawn Community High School’s fishing team and Rayjus Outdoors will host the third annual Rayjus Outdoors-Oak Lawn High School Bass Tournament on Oct. 13 at the Des Plaines Conservation Area in Wilmington. Information: Email Chris Kuchyt, ckuchyt@olchs.org.
Southland: A Fall Fishing Festival will be held from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday at the Alden Estates of Orland Park’s fully stocked fishing pond at 16450 S. 97th Ave. Admission is free; just bring your pole. Information: (708) 403-6500.
WRESTLING
Chicago Heights: The Spartan Elite Wrestling Club will hold practices for kids in kindergarten to eighth grade from 5 to 7 p.m. Sunday and Friday at Marian Catholic High School.
