EMPLOYEE THEFT: Lance Pero Jr., 23, 1336 Franklin Ave., Chicago Heights, was charged with retail theft after stealing $227 worth of items by under-ringing them Oct. 20 at his register at Carson Pirie Scott, police said.
VAN THEFT: A 2000 Plymouth Voyager van was stolen Oct. 31 or Nov. 1 from the rear of an apartment building in the 4000 block of Charleston Road.
IDENTITY THEFT: Markeisha Lewis, 25, 1218 E. 46th St., Chicago, was charged with identify theft Nov. 1 after using stolen names and Social Security numbers to purchase lines of credit at the Carson Pirie Scott and JC Penney stores in Matteson and then using the credit to buy multiple gift cards at the stores, police said.
VAN THEFT: A 2003 Dodge Caravan van was stolen between Nov. 1 and 3 from the parking lot of Manheim Chicago Auto Auction, 20401 Cox Ave.
CAR DAMAGED: Brandon Martin, 22, 20224 Keystone Ave., Matteson, was charged with criminal damage to property after a witness saw him use a piece of iron Nov. 5 to break a window on a car parked at L.A. Fitness, 4320 W. U.S. 30,police said.
THEFT: DaJuan Hurst, 30, 303 Waldman St., Park Forest, was charged with theft and obstructing identification Nov. 4 after giving police a phony name when he was questioned in connection with a recent car burglary, police said.
DISORDERLY CONDUCT: A 16-year-old Park Forest boy and his 15-year-old girlfriend told police four people wearing ski masks and dark clothing approached their parked car Nov. 5 in the 100 block of Nanti Street, pounded on the windows and screamed at them to get out but left in a car when the boy told them he was calling police, according to police.
