Southern Illinois University Edwardsville
Several area students received a bachelor’s degree from Southern Illinois University Edwardsville.

Jillian J. Wiora, of Hickory Hills, received a bachelor’s degree from Southern Illinois University Edwardsville.

Coe College
Bekah Isack, of Mokena, recently spent the fall semester in Spain as a participant in an accredited off-campus study program. Isack is a 2009 graduate of Lincoln-Way East High School and a student at Coe College in Cedar Rapids, Iowa.

Prairie State College
Nick Williams, of Homewood, received first place for program oral interpretation and fourth place for speech to entertain at a recent tournament hosted by the College of Lake County. Williams is a member of the speech team at Prairie State College in Chicago Heights.
