Police say a Matteson man expected to meet a 14-year-old girl for sex last week after he’d been communicating with her online.

Instead Will County Sheriff’s police were waiting Wednesday to arrest Eric B. Wolf, 48.

Spokeswoman Kathy Hoffmeyer said Wolf came to police attention Dec. 12 after posting an ad on the Craigslist website seeking “a sweet attentive babygirl for some ongoing fun.”

“An undercover officer responded posing as a 14-year-old girl and the conversations continued, becoming sexually explicit,” Hoffmeyer said.

On Wednesday, Wolf arranged to meet at a fast-food restaurant in Crest Hill but was taken into custody when he arrived.

Hoffmeyer said deputies found condoms and a webcam in Wolf’s vehicle. According to reports, two computers, a cell phone and DVDs of commercial pornography were seized during a search of his apartment at 3526 214th St.

Wolf was booked into the county jail on charges of indecent solicitation of a minor, traveling to meet a minor for sexual purposes, distributing harmful material to a minor and grooming, which is using a computer service to encounter minors and engage in sexual activity.

Wolf is being held in the county jail on a $100,000 bond. According to reports, Wolf was employed as a legal assistant with the Masuda Funai law firm.
