MATTESON
EMPLOYEE THEFT: Kyle Dunn, 23, of Joliet, was charged with theft after stealing $170 from the cash register at Office Max, 170 Towncenter Drive, while employed there from Dec. 1 to Jan. 4, police said.
EMPLOYEE THEFT: Jonathan Allieu, 22, 297 Juniper St., Park Forest, was charged with theft after stealing $150 by issuing phony refunds while employed at J.C. Penney, 4451 Promenade Way, from Dec. 21 to Jan. 4, police said.
WEAPON CHARGE: Keith Waller, 44, of Montgomery, Ill., was charged with unlawful use of a weapon after police discovered an unloaded handgun while questioning him Jan. 5 at U.S. 30 and Governors Highway, police said.
DUI ARREST: David Bernard Jr., 37, of Crown Point, Ind., was charged with drunken driving and speeding after a Jan. 5 stop in the 3900 block of West U.S. 30, police said.
CREDIT FRAUD: Taiwan Jackson, 38, 2655 W. Madison St., Chicago, was charged with fraud after using someone else’s credit information to order a laptop computer on layaway from Wal-Mart, 21410 Cicero Ave., police said. They said Jackson was arrested in a traffic stop after he picked up the item from the store Jan. 6 and was also charged with driving on a suspended license.
PARK FOREST
DOMESTIC BATTERY: Michael Madison, 54, 20 Apple Lane, Park Forest, was charged with domestic battery after a Jan. 2 incident at his home, police said.
HOME BURGLARY: A laptop computer and television were stolen from a home Jan. 3 in the 300 block of Wildwood Drive.
HOME BURGLARY: A Park Forest man told police someone broke into his home Jan. 4 in the 300 block of Miami Street and stole $900 in electronics.
TRESPASSING: Skylar Jenkins, 21, 22632 Lorraine Court, Richton Park, and Christopher Hart, 24, 258 Marquette St., Park Forest, were charged with criminal trespass and public intoxication after running from police Jan. 6 and then breaking into the home of a 69-year-old man in the 500 block of Lakewood Boulevard, where they attempted to hide, police said. They said Hart was also charged with resisting arrest.
DOMESTIC BATTERY: Steve Johnson, 27, 100 Hemlock St., H-11, Park Forest, was charged with domestic battery after a Jan. 7 disturbance at his home, police said.
