Rich Central first at mock trial competition

The Rich Central High School mock trial team took first place in the recent Circuit Court of Cook County’s Sixth Municipal District Mock Trial Competition.
The team of 10 had a first-round victory against T.F. South and then a victory over Southland College Prep Charter High School.
In the final round, Rich Central faced Hillcrest High School. Ayrren Calhoun presented the opening statement, and Alexis Evans-Keen presented the closing statement. Tiffany Montgomery acted as the team’s direct examiner and Raven Ford Lee was the cross examiner.
Rich Central’s team members are Calhoun, Evans-Keen, Raven Evans, Ford-Lee, Deja Fox, Elizabeth Hurd, David Kennerson, Brandon Kyles, Montgomery and Tia Sims. The timekeeper is Zainab Yaya.
