Matteson, Park Forest police blotter

MATTESON

DUI ARREST: Jeremy Fielder, 26, 3027 Richton Place, Richton Park, was charged with drunken driving, driving without a valid license, having expired registration, no insurance and improper lane use after a Feb. 24 stop in the 20900 block of Governors Highway, police said.

THEFT: A delivered package containing a new iPod was stolen between Feb. 28 and March 1 from a house’s porch in the 4000 block of 216th Street.

MARIJUANA CHARGE: Shawn Griffin, 21, 17203 Kedzie Ave., Hazel Crest, was charged with possession of marijuana after a stop March 1 in the 20900 block of Cicero Avenue, police said.

THEFT: A Park Forest man told police someone stole his wallet containing more than $300 cash and two credit cards when he left it in a locker March 2 at L.A. Fitness, 4340 W. U.S. 30.

WOMAN CONNED: A 43-year-old Arkansas woman told police she wired $734 to the Matteson Currency Exchange, 4453 W. U.S. 30, on March 5 to pay for a Siberian Husky puppy after making arrangements with a puppy dealer online. But when she arrived at a designated location on Lincoln Mall Drive to get the dog, she learned there was no business there that sold dogs.

POT POSSESSION: Andrew Harris, 21, 3410 Woodworth Place, Hazel Crest, was charged with possession of marijuana after he was stopped March 5 in the 21000 block of Cicero Avenue, police said.

DUI CHARGE: Lisa Bracy, 31, 313 Miami St., Park Forest, was charged with drunken driving and failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident after rear-ending a car March 9 at U.S. 30 and Matteson Avenue, police said.

THEFT: An Oak Lawn man told police someone stole his catalytic converter while his car was parked March 11 at Target, 4647 Promenade Way.

PARK FOREST

TRESPASSING: Deltric Smith, 26, 17471 Park Lane, Country Club Hills, was charged with criminal trespass after refusing March 6 to leave a property from which he had been banned at an apartment complex in the 300 block of Forest Boulevard, police said.

BURGLARY: A 15-year-old boy, a resident of Aunt Martha’s Group Home, was charged with burglary and resisting police after being detained and questioned about a March 4 burglary at Family Dollar, 108 S. Orchard Drive, police said. They said the teen swore at officers and refused to give his name or birth date while being questioned March 7.

THEFT: A computer tablet was stolen March 8 from a student’s desk at Blackhawk School, 130 Blackhawk Drive.

PROPERTY DAMAGE: Jessie Knox, 31, 301 Osage St., Park Forest, was charged with criminal damage to property after breaking a cellphone, shattering bottles of beer and damaging a television during a March 9 domestic dispute in the 200 block of Mantua Street, police said.

DOMESTIC BATTERY: David Saunders, 39, 134 Monee Road, Park Forest, was charged with domestic battery after a March 9 disturbance at his home, police said.

BURGLARY: Someone shattered the glass door and stole six cellphones March 11 at Stateline Wireless, 110 S. Orchard Drive.

POT POSSESSION: Eric Betton, 26, 367 Oswego St., Park Forest, and Albert Nance, 26, 289 Mallard Drive, Sauk Village, were charged with possession of marijuana after being questioned March 11 while sitting in a car on McCarthy Road, police said.
