Conference a ‘super’ idea for girls

The 2nd annual P.E.A.R.L. Girls motivational conference recently was hosted at Rich South High School by Principal Cynthia Hudson and Girls in Focus to Succeed.
More than 100 girls from Rich Township High School District 228 schools, Southland College Prep Charter High School and Hillcrest High School participated in a day of fellowship and learning.
Working from the conference’s theme, “Superwomen in Action,” speakers provided the young women with “super skills” and “super strategies” for their present and the future.
The keynote Speaker, Dr. Chandra Gill, spoke about being superb rather than superficial. The panel of “Super Women in Super Careers” provided first-hand accounts of success.
Breakout sessions included “Loving the Skin You’re In,” “Relax, Relate, Release” and a fashion show.
