Students, parents and teachers recently celebrated Dr. Seuss’ Family Reading Night at Woodgate School in Matteson.
This event was part of Read Across America, an annual celebration sponsored by the National Education Association in honor of the March 2 birthday of children’s author Dr. Seuss.
Students in kindergarten through second grade worked with their parents in reading books by the author and engaging in a variety of activities.
Woodgate School reading specialist Patsy Kacy organized the event.
