RETAIL THEFT: Niaya Johnson, 29, 312 Neola St., Park Forest, was charged with retail theft after stealing $186 worth of clothing March 9 from J.C. Penney, 4451 Promenade Way, police said.
PURLOINED PURSE: A woman who was cleaning the Burlington Coat Factory store in Lincoln Mall on March 13 told police someone stole her purse from a storage closet when she was working.
DUI ARREST: Andrew Pongress Jr., 76, 21015 London, Olympia Fields, was charged with drunken driving and making an improper turn after a March 13 stop at Cicero Avenue and U.S. 30, police said.
POT POSSESSION: Keven Thompson, 19, 5104 Thomas Drive, Richton Park, was charged with possession of marijuana after being questioned March 14 at Hummingbird and Harvest lanes, police said.
CHILD ENDANGERMENT: Benesha Davis, 19, 22534 Jeffrey Ave., Sauk Village, was charged with endangering the health of a child after police found her 3-month-old baby with several adults March 15 in a room that was thick with marijuana smoke at a hotel in the 20900 block of Matteson Avenue, police said.
THEFT: A 78-year-old Matteson woman told police someone stole her wallet from her purse March 19 while she shopped at Aldi, 20713 Cicero Ave.
HOME BURGLARY: Several gold bracelets were stolen Feb. 22 from a house in the 400 block of Talala Street.
HOME BURGLARY: A laptop computer was stolen March 12 from a house in the 300 block of Indianwood Boulevard.
CAR BURGLARY: Three tire rims, four speakers, other electronics, tools valued at $2,000 and a tool box were stolen march 15 from a car in the 100 block of Washington Street.
HOME BURGLARY: An iPod, jewelry, two video game systems, a computer tablet, a laptop computer and a camera were stolen March 16 from a house in the 100 block of Indiana Street.
DOMESTIC ASSAULT: Angela Davis, 36, 1934 Revere St., Chicago Heights, was charged with aggravated domestic assault after a March 22 incident at North Street and Orchard Drive, police said.
THEFT ARREST: Robert Wiggins, 17, 20820 Gardner, Chicago Heights, was charged with motor vehicle theft after a stop March 22 at WestwooD Drive and Green Street, police said. They said an employee of Currie Motors in Olympia Fields called police when he saw a 1999 Chevrolet Camaro that was recently stolen from the dealership.
CAR BURGLARY: A GPS system was stolen March 22 or 23 from a car in the 200 block of Allegheny Street.
CAR BURGLARY: A wallet was stolen March 24 from a car in the parking lot of St. Irenaeus Church, 201 S. Orchard Drive.
