THEFT: Two cellphones were stolen March 29 from a car, apparently while it was being washed at a car wash in the 20600 block of Cicero Avenue.
THEFT: An 80-year-old Matteson woman told police someone stole more than $1,400 worth of jewelry from her purse March 31 at her home in the 5700 block of Allemong Drive.
TRUCK THEFT: A 1997 Chevrolet S10 pickup truck was stolen April 1 in the 4200 block of Lindenwood Drive. It car was later found undamaged in Olympia Fields.
EMPLOYEE THEFT: Peter Ilori, 24, 3006 Buttonwood Walk, Hazel Crest, was charged with retail theft April 2 after stealing 19 pairs of eyeglasses valued at $3,700 from LensCrafters at Lincoln Mall, where he was employed, and then attempting to sell them on eBay, police said.
VEHICLE BURGLARIES: Thieves broke into six vehicles March 30 on Ash and Nanti streets, stealing mostly change and small amounts of cash, though a laptop computer was taken from one car. Three victims were parked in the 100 block of Nanti Street, two in the 300 block of Ash Street and one in the 100 block of Ash Street, according to police.
CAR BURGLARY: An iPad was stolen April 1 from a car in the 100 block of Forest Avenue.
BREAK-IN: A television and an iPod were stolen April 2 from a house in the 300 block of Waverly Street.
BURGLARY ARRESTS: Devin Robinson, 18, Shaquille Dirkans, 18 and Diante Allen, 22, whose addresses were not listed, were charged with residential burglary after stealing a television and a video game system April 2 from a home in the 3300 block of Western Avenue, police said. They said the three men were arrested after an unrelated traffic stop by Richton Park police revealed the stolen items inside their car.
DRUG CHARGES: Thomas Bell, 46, 1919 Adams St., Chicago Heights, was charged with possession of cocaine, marijuana and drug paraphernalia, no rear plate light and no insurance after police found the drugs and $1,300 cash in his car during a stop April 3 at Western Avenue and 26th Street, police said.
THEFT: A 16-year-old boy told police someone stole his iPhone from his gym locker April 3 at Rich East High School, 300 Sauk Trail.
CAR BREAK-INS: Two Park Forest residents in the 100 block of Birch Street told police someone broke their car windows April 4 and rifled through their belongings in the cars.
DOMESTIC BATTERY: Loleta Gaze, 39, 56 Fir St., Park Forest, was charged with domestic battery after an incident April 5 at her home, police said.
POT POSSESSION: Dominique Chaney, 20, 14208 Edbrooke, Riverdale, was charged with possession of marijuana, driving on a suspended license and improper lane use after an April 7 stop at Sauk Trail and Minocqua Street, police said.
