Richton Park officials recognized outgoing Trustee Sharon Kriha for her time on the board during the recent swearing-in ceremony of new village board members.

Kriha was on the board for eight years, after being a commissioner for the economic development commission from 1997 to 2005, and a member of the planning and zoning commission from 2002 to 2005. She was elected as a trustee in 2005.

“The Village of Richton Park appreciates all the work that Sharon has committed to doing as village trustee in these past eight years. Her dedication to seeing the village perform at its best is reflective of a great trustee and a dedicated resident of our community,” Mayor Rick Reinbold said.

“We are thankful for Trustee Kriha’s efforts and commitment to making Richton Park a great community,” village manager De’Carlon Seewood said. “Her interest in recognizing the youth and high school students for their achievements was appreciated during her terms as trustee.”

Monica Holden takes over Kriha’s seat.
