SCOOTER THEFT: A motorized scooter was stolen May 28 from outside an apartment in the 4000 block of Lindenwood Drive.
DUI ARREST: Kory Begley, 37, 7925 S. Green St., Chicago, was charged with drunken driving, no insurance and driving on a suspended license after a May 31 stop at Vollmer Road and Crawford Avenue, police said.
HIT AND RUN: Saprece Lumpkin, 21, 458 Talala St., Park Forest, was charged with leaving the scene of an accident and no insurance after hitting another car June 1 in the parking lot of Marshalls, 4808 W. U.S. 30, police said.
DISORDERLY CONDUCT: Dakararia Bailey, 18, 4042 216th St., #3E, Matteson, was charged with disorderly conduct after police caught him and a juvenile girl throwing water balloons at vehicles June 2 off the Old Plank Trail bridge over Governors Highway, police said. They said the girl was also charged with disorderly conduct.
DOMESTIC BATTERY: Quinton Geiger, 28, 4527 Lindenwood Drive, Matteson, was charged with domestic battery after a June 2 incident in a car near U.S. 30 and Lindenwood Drive, police said.
THEFT: A backpack that contained $500, an iPhone and a jacket was stolen June 3 from along a basketball court at L.A. Fitness, 4340 W. U.S. 30.
VAN THEFT: A 1993 Dodge Caravan was stolen from South Oak Dodge after it had been repossessed in December 2011. When the owner came to the dealership to make his final payment on June 5, employees discovered the van had been stolen from the dealership’s lot.
POT POSSESSION: Morgan Walker, 22, 18648 Chestnut, Country Club Hills, was charged with possession of marijuana after police responded June 10 to a call of a suspicious car at Stonebridge Courtyards in the 5200 block of Bloomsbury Lane, police said.
THEFT: Clothing and electronics were stolen between May 23 and 26 from a home in the 100 block of Arbor Trail.
TRESPASSING: Garrick Johnson, 27, 600 Cedar Ridge, Apt. 206, Richton Park, was charged with criminal trespass after a May 31 incident in the parking lot of a 7-Eleven store, 425 Sauk Trail, where he had been ordered not to return after a disturbance in April, police said.
DUI ARREST: Ahmad Evans, 33, 14631 Lexington St., Harvey, was charged with drunken driving after a June 1 stop at Western Avenue and Algonquin Street, police said.
HOME BURGLARY: Electronics and jewelry were stolen from a home June 1 or 2 in the 100 block of Nanti Street.
THEFT: Catalytic converters were stolen June 2 or 3 from two vehicles at U-Haul, 2210 Western Ave.
BATTERY: A Park Forest woman told police a man whom she believes robbed her 12-year-old son of his gold chain at Somonauk Park on June 7 punched her in the chest the following day when she confronted him at the park.
DUI CHARGE: James Butowski, 29, 402 Suwanee St., Park Forest, was charged with drunken driving and battery to a police officer after crashing into a tree June 7 on Blackhawk Drive, running from the scene and then getting into a car driven by a friend, police said. They said Butowski kicked a police officer several times when police stopped the friend’s car to arrest him. The friend, Michael Barnes, 37, of Park Forest, was charged with driving on a suspended license, no insurance and illegal transportation of alcohol, police said.
ROBBERY: A 60-year-old Park Forest man told police a man pushed him down and stole the keys from his pocket while he was walking home June 7 in the 400 block of Winnemac Street.
DOMESTIC BATTERY: Gene Clears, 64, 314 Juniper St., #J5, Park Forest, was charged with domestic battery after a June 7 disturbance at his home, police said.
RETAIL THEFT: Jesse Deloach, 40, 200 Indianwood Blvd., Park Forest, was charged with retail theft after stealing energy drinks and a two pairs of diamond earrings June 10 from Walgreens, 15 S. Orchard Drive, police said.
