Richton Park gives out vehicle stickers to seniors

Updated: October 16, 2013 6:02AM

The village of Richton Park will give senior citizen residents free vehicle stickers in 2014.

There are approximately 800 senior citizens in Richton Park who currently pay for the stickers.

The current rate for seniors is $1.50 (one per household) and the normal rate for all residents is $44.

Seniors will receive one free vehicle sticker per household next May. The normal vehicle sticker fee will apply for any additional vehicles.

“We strive to take care of the senior citizens in this community. This vehicle sticker waiver is just one of the ways we want to ensure that seniors get the most out of their choice to live in Richton Park,” Mayor Rick Reinbold said.

Information on programs for senior citizens is at RichtonPark.org.
