A Matteson man who thought he was meeting a young girl for sex in Crest Hill last winter — but really met up with police — has pleaded guilty in the case.
Eric B. Wolf, 49, of 3526 W. 214th St., pleaded guilty Oct. 29 in Will County court to indecent solicitation and traveling to meet a minor. He was sentenced to 30 months probation and ordered to have no contact with females younger than 18 unless they are relatives.
Authorities say they responded to a December 2012 post Wolf left on Craigslist seeking “a sweet attentive babygirl for some ongoing fun.”
An undercover officer pretending to be a 14-year-old girl wrote back to Wolf, and their conversations became sexually explicit, authorities said.
In December 2012, Wolf arranged to meet the “girl” at a fast-food restaurant in Crest Hill, where he was arrested when he arrived.
