Expo to help homeowners, first-time buyers

U.S. Rep. Robin Kelly, D-2nd, will host a Housing Expo to help homeowners with loan modifications and property tax appeals from 9:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. March 15 at Victory Apostolic Church, 20801 Matteson Ave., Matteson.

Current homeowners will have the opportunity to speak directly to lenders about loan modifications. The event also will inform first-time homebuyers about down-payment assistance programs. In addition, exhibitors will offer rental information and resources, according to a press release from Kelly’s office.

The expo’s 20 exhibitors will include the Cook County Board of Review, Chase, Bank of America, Wells Fargo, Habitat for Humanity, Kankakee Housing Authority, CEDA, Neighborhood Housing Services and St. Paul VA Regional Loan Center.
