The Midlothian Park District recently named Fred Diryawish as its January Treasure of the Month.
Diryawish was nominated by office manager Debbie Miller and Superintendant of Recreation Jen Yuska for agreeing to cover unscheduled shifts.
“Fred is a great worker and is always willing to come in when we are struggling to cover a shift,” Yuska said.
“He is a great worker, and he makes me laugh,” Miller said.
Diryawish began working for the Midlothian Park District in July of 2011 as a part of Gov. Pat Quinn’s Illinois Youth Recreation Corps Grant. Diryawish was hired to be a seasonal maintenance employee and, at the end of the summer, the recreation department hired him as a gym supervisor.
Diryawish lives in Midlothian with his family and is a senior at Bremen High School.
“We really value Fred’s work ethic,” Yuska said. “He is always willing to work, and he does a great job while he is here.”
