Orland Township Scholarship deadline March 2

Applications for the 2012 Orland Township Scholarship Program are available at the township office, 14807 S. Ravinia Avenue, Orland Park, or at www.orlandtwp.org.

Completed scholarship forms have to be turned in to the township by March 2.

The township said that 22 scholarships, totaling $16, 500, will be awarded.

After-hours event at Francesca’s Vicinato

The Orland Park Area Chamber of Commerce will hold a business after hours from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. Feb. 28 at Francesca’s Vicinato, 12960 S. LaGrange Road, Palos Park. For information, call (708) 349-2972.

Library hosts ‘Coffee & Career Paths’

Debbie Wills, with the admissions department at Moraine Valley Community College, will talk at the Midlothian Public Library’s “Coffee & Career Paths” about the benefits of attending a community college as an adult student.

The talk begins at 6:30 p.m. March 8 at the library, 14701 S. Kenton Ave.
