Raday Lodge supervisor Joe Badagliacco recently was named the Midlothian Park District’s Treasure of the Month for May.

Badagliacco was nominated by office manager Debbie Miller for filling in on his day off when a scheduled employee was ill.

“It is good to know that these part-time employees will step in when they are needed,” Miller said. “The party goes on, and someone needs to supervise the building.”

Badagliacco lives in Midlothian with his parents and his brother Dave, who also works for the Midlothian Park District.

Badagliacco began his tenure with the park district as a day camp counselor in 2007. He continues to work as a summer counselor while also working as a supervisor at Raday Lodge.

Badagliacco will be a senior at Olivet Nazarene College, where he is majoring in physical education. Badagliacco is an avid tennis player and competes on behalf of Olivet Nazarene.

“We value the service Joe provides for our clients,” said park district officials in a news release. “We treasure the fact he understands that his work is important in the overall operation of the park district.”
